Proud Momma

This weekend, my little man rode his first sheep!  He had been talking about it for the past two weeks and was all excited until about an hour before the rodeo.  This is what happened:

He crashed on my dads office floor. 

We finally made it to the rodeo

then, the nerves started kickin in.  (as you can tell by the look on Cash's face) 

They announced the mutton bustin, and we weren't paying attention, so Cade grabbed Cash and sprinted over to the other side of the arena to the bucking chutes.  On the way, Cash said, "Papa, I'm so nervous I fink I'm gonna frow up!"  Cade stopped and held him over so he could puke.  When he decided he wasn't going to, they started running again.  They made it over there right as he was up.  Cash got up there, put on the helmet and vest and jumped on the little sheep. 

He thaught that was the funnest thing he'd ever done!  He scored a 75 and me and Cade were so proud of him we couldn't quit smiling!  We have been waiting 4 years for this moment!  yay!

 

When all the riders were done, they had them all walk through the arena with thier trophies

Cashy waved to the crowd the entire time.  He was so proud of himself. 

I loved seeing the little boost of confidence it gave him.  He was so scared and nervous because he'd never done it before, and he swallowed all that and got on and rode that sheep.  

He liked it so much, he hasn't stopped talking about it or put the trophy down.  :)
