For Cade's birthday, I surprised him with a little getaway that he was in MAJOR need of. His work is crazy busy and he's been working 12 to 13 hour days for the last couple of months.
I picked him up from work with all of our bags packed. We headed up Provo canyon and stopped in Heber at Don Pedro's and had dinner. BTW if you haven't been there, you have to go...it's the best mexican food!!!

We went to Park City and stayed overnight at a hotel, which the kids LOVED. This was the first time either one of them had stayed in a hotel.
When we got there and checked in and everything, Lilly wondered around our room for about a half an hour talking to herself and Cash jumped on the bed most of the stay.
(I guess we don't get out enough.) :)
We swam in the pool till about 10:30
The kids wore themselves out swmming and were out in no time. And, they both slept thru the night!
The next morning, we got up and ate breakfast a the hotel.

While we were up there, we went over to the olympic park. Cade had delivered a bunch of machines up there while they were building it, so we went over to check it out.
All the olympians and pros were up there jumping into the pool and doing flips and all kinds of crazy things. It was so cool to watch. Some of them would get some serious air. Cash loved watching how high they could get.
They have a cool olympic museum there too, so we walked thru it and checked it out. They had some pretty neat exibits in there.

On the way home, we stopped at Dairy Keen or the train station-as we like to call it (a must if you go thru Heber) and got lunch and a shake and ate it at the park.

When we got home, we had a little party for Cade. And all our fam came down. Chance brought his pit bike and everyone took turns taking it for a burn. But Cash especially liked it.
We had more yummy mexican food, strawberries and cream cake and ice cream.
And to top it all off, the sunset that night was breathtaking.
All in all, we had a long and super fun weekend and I think it helped Cade de-stress a little bit. :)
Wow! You are an awesome wife. I remember surprising Lance with a vacation to Arizona to see his family. He always complained that there was not enough money to go, or he couldn't leave work, or there was too much to do at home. So I just packed all our bags picked him up from work and we left. He loved it!
